I’m a high school teacher, avid reader, life-long writer, and amateur genealogist.
Since I love writing almost as much as I love reading, I thought it would be perfect to write about the books that mean the most to me, authors that are near and dear to my heart, and books that I am currently reading.

Nicely built site — like the photos and the content; will stay up on your doings now. Blogging can be run until you get tired of it — it took me about 5 years and suddenly I had nothing to say (maybe because Will got so sick and I felt such a loss of power — and that certainly won’t happen to you). Keep at it friend. Really good start.

Yes! I just commented on your post. It’s a bit rambly, sorry. Still putting my thoughts together and will have a review up soon. Historical inaccuracies aside, I think I still preferred the film but can see why others wouldn’t. The historical info. you wrote about was really helpful.

I’m currently reading the Anne series for the first time this summer! I’m on Book #4 right now. My review of Book #3 will be published Wednesday! I’m not sure Anne ever lets go of her love for the name Cordelia. It comes back in the first three books, at least!

I work at a very large used bookstore so I always have recommendations. 🙂 However, one of the books that I have recommended to friends for many years (about 25 years) is My Name is Asher Lev by Chaim Potok. It’s about that passion for something that everyone has at their core and the lengths a person will go to be their authentic self.
