History Repeating

A WW1 army emergency hospital during the Influenza pandemic of 1918.

Zoom in if you can.

Almost everyone has a mask… uselessly dangling from their necks.

Look familiar?! 🤦‍♀️

Featured image: “A policeman wearing a flu mask speaks to a maskless man during the Spanish flu pandemic in San Francisco in 1918. California State Library.” From Business Insider article, “Photos show how San Francisco had to convince its ‘mask slackers’ to wear masks after many defied the law while the 1918 Spanish flu pandemic seized the city”

Sigh – we are doomed to make the same mistakes over and over… Hope you are well, it is bloody freezing down here and no one wears a mask when out walking.

Indeed. It’s so bleeping cold here, too, thankfully most wear masks when out and about, but many don’t wear them correctly. I hate the cold and am not a huge fan of people right now, so I am doing my best to avoid it all lol.

Me too! You have probably seen our weather/outage crisis in Texas. I can’t believe I ever lived in northern Europe..❄️

It is back to normal temps now and we were lucky with no damage (burst pipes). I hope it is warming up for you, too. K x
